This tool is only available in Power Editor or the recently updated Ads Manager, so please make sure you are using the correct tool.
From a technical perspective, Dynamic creative accepts the basic components of a Facebook ad you enter and “automatically explores a series of ad variants based on these components.” The system converges on creative components that deliver the most efficient results for each impression served. It will ensure your audience is always served the best performing creative and deliver the most results for you set objective.
Keep in mind Dynamic creative is only available for the following objectives (traffic, conversions, and app installs and two formats (single image and a single video.)
How to Set Up Ads Successfully Using the Dynamic Creative Tool
To set up dynamic creative – you must first click on “Create a New Campaign” button as you normally would with either traffic, conversions, or app installs set as your objective.
Create your new ad set as you normally do and save to draft.
Here at the ad set level, you will see the option to use dynamic creative. Click the radio button to use it.
Configure your ad set as you would normally do and Dynamic creative will change or remove them as appropriate for the target market.
With the next step of building your ad, you will see the option to add multiple assets to this ad.
Note: The maximum number of total assets you can use is 30. For example, you could use 10 images or videos, 5 bodies, 5 titles, 5 descriptions, 1 ad format, 1 link URL, 3 calls to action.
Once you’ve uploaded all of your assets, you can preview different variations of your ad. In the preview section, click View More Variations to view different permutations of your assets. Upon completion, click review draft items to confirm your ad changes.
Now that everything is set up, you can always check out the success of your ad campaign by viewing your campaign results in Power Editor by clicking “Breakdown.” Or you can always create and customize your own report in Power Editor.
