Have you setup your Facebook Cover Video?

Have you thought about using video in place of your Facebook cover photo?

Today you will discover how to set up a Facebook video on your business page.

Your business page cover photo represents your brand and portrays your story in just a few seconds – the same applies to the short video.  Statistics tell us that videos immediately grab audience’s attention – so you must spend some time to ensure your video portrays your business story in just a few seconds.

How to Upload a Cover Video?

Contrary to what many experts say –  uploading a video as your Facebook cover image is as simple as uploading a new photo.  Simply hover your mouse over the cover image and you’ll see a “camera icon Change Cover” pop up.  Click the change cover icon.

Click “Upload Photo/Video to upload your new video – then choose from Videos to go ahead and upload the video to your page cover banner.

Page administrators need to keep the following tips in mind

  • Cover videos must be at least 20 seconds long, but no more than 90 seconds long.
  • The recommended video crop size is 820 pixels by 462 pixels.
  • Cover videos auto-play and auto-loop.
  • Cover videos begin playing with audio muted.   The user can choose to unmute and view the video with sound.

Facebook’s Official Statement:

We recently started testing the ability on desktop to upload a video as the Page cover. Once a cover video has been created, the video will render when people visit the Page.

By making a cover video available, we want to help you create more engaging interaction and drive more rich experience for your audience by letting you spotlight your creative content in one of the most prominent space: your Page cover.

The feature is still in early testing, but we expect to roll it out more widely soon. We appreciate your patience and support while we improve on this feature to bring cover video available to you soon.

Are you using video as your Facebook cover image?  What are some of the best cover videos you’ve seen?
